Lyrics (en - de)

For the album, see Electric Café.

"Techno Pop" is the second track of 1986 album Electric Café by Kraftwerk. The name of the song represented the originally desired name of the album; this desired name was realized in 2009 when the album was re-released as Techno Pop in 2009 for The Catalogue.

The song segues in from the ending of "Boing Boom Tschak". "Music Non Stop, Techno Pop" is the first line heard, and a recurring theme in the song. It is followed by an artificial string section and lyrics in various languages: both the English and German versions flirt with the opposite language, and both feature a recurring Spanish line.

The industrial themes explored in the previous song are heavily expanded on here, primarily in the lyrics.

German release[]

The version on the German release of Electric Café follows the same pattern, but opens with German instead of English lyrics.
